A lot of people who have to wake up every day before dawn and go to work in a crowded bus have at least once thought about how awesome it would be to work from home. No more early rises, no more hurry, you can manage your time the way you want and there is no controlling manager who is always hanging over your shoulder. Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, not everything is so bright and shiny, because working at home, just as any other job, has it pros and cons, which we are going to discuss in this article.

Let’s start with the advantages that working from home provides you:

As it has been already mentioned, if you work at home you can usually manage your schedule in a way that fits you the most, so if you are one of those night owls who get struck with inspiration after midnight, you don’t have to wake up at 6 a.m. anymore in order to get the job done. And since your schedule can be quite flexible you won’t have to miss out on important moments in your family life.

Once you start working from home you’ll see that by not eating out with your colleagues you not only can save quite a lot of money, you can also start getting back in shape.

Another quite important and time-saving advantage is that you don’t have to waste time getting to your working place.

By Henryk Kotowski Kotoviski (Own work) [GFDL or CC-BY-SA-3.0-2.5-2.0-1.0], via Wikimedia Commons

As for the disadvantages, one of the most prominent ones is actually quite the same as one of the main advantages – you are the one responsible for your own schedule. And if you don’t have any pattern of managing and tracking your tasks it would be a good idea to start using specialized work management software that would help you keep all your tasks under control and won’t allow you to miss deadlines.

Working at home can be also quite challenging if you are used to working under supervision and you like having someone who will help you out when you need to make an important decision. To maintain communication with your managers it’s important for you to have collaborative workflow software that would make the process of solving complicated issues easier.

For those who are missing colleague banter while on a weekend, working at home is probably not the best options, since it provides fewer opportunities for socializing.

Another thing that can get your work at home rather complicated is a bunch of distractions of all kinds. Social media networks. TV, family duties… When you don’t have direct supervision it can be so easy to get lost in every day routine, so before you decide to work from home, make sure you can organize yourself and your days in a way that your work will still be of high priority.

Hope that this small review of pros and cons of working at home will help you realize whether such approach to job suits you or not.

Great promoting is the key to bringing in new customers to your business. If a customer feels that you are someone who is trustworthy and reliable, then they’ll feel the same way about your products or services.

There are plenty of ways to promote yourself to potential clients, but have you ever considered using YouTube.

The Benefits of YouTube

Thousands if not millions of videos are accessed daily on the YouTube website. You want to promote your products or services to the masses, right? YouTube is a good option. YouTube is not just for entertainment purposes anymore, now there are people who promote their businesses with it. It’s fairly easy to upload a video to the website, and your business will be basically promoting itself when your videos uploaded. The best thing of all about YouTube is that it’s free to broadcast your footage.

Creating a Good YouTube Video

The entertaining videos that are on YouTube have at least fair quality. Videos that are grainy and or choppy are less attractive. And it’s even worse if they can’t hear the speaker clearly. Make sure your camera is focused and that there’s good lighting in the space that you’re shooting the video. Also, make sure you are close enough to the microphone so that you’re not hushed or muffled. There may be settings on your computer or recording device to adjust your footage and make it more presentable.

Make short videos

With longer videos, it’s easier to lose the interest of the viewer if you’re trying to promote something. If you spend too long trying to deliver your message, you’re more likely to stray from important information that you should talk about. Stay away from the minutia. Remember you’re trying to get more customers, not start a sitcom.

Edit your finished recordings and add special effects to make it better. Editing software is available for your computer for free, though not all of these programs are good. Do not overdo it with the special effects; just do enough so that it looks more professional. Too much would make it look cheesy.

Keeping People Interested

It’s all about the presentation, right? When you don’t sound enthusiastic and you don’t appear excited about your own products or services, don’t expect anybody else to be. Try to sound and look livelier. Do not dress as if you’re spending the day lounging on your living room couch. It might help to dress a bit more casual Try to involve something in your message that is relevant in today’s society and that a lot of people can identify with.

Things that are going on in the media, stuff that people see on TV and in movies, these are some examples of things that you can mix into the message that you’re trying to convey. It can’t hurt to have more of a sense of humor if it calls for it; people love to be able to laugh at things, don’t they?

In present day scenarios watching TV online is a great innovative and entertaining solution you have ever found. Watching online is user friendly, easy to navigate and a quick way that offers infinite variety of rich and entertainment channels of different countries all at one place.

This is what people think about how Apple will change the future with their new AppleTV (by Business Insider):

Customers would be able to see any TV show at any time, there is a DVR, which stores TV shows using Internet.

Apple wants to create something like a souped-up Apple TV version, which will be able to work in a similar was as a cable box.

The new interface of AppleTV should be similar to iPad’s or iPhone’s interface. (It might just look like the current Apple TV interface, just a few icons more?)

Users would be able to share what they watch on TV on different social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.

The interface of new Apple TV should be better and much easier to use than interfaces of most current cable boxes.

There would be an easy way for people to see the whole season of any TV show on demand, instead of a few episodes that most cable companies are offering at the moment.

The thing is, the current version of Apple TV v2 already can do this easily. All you have to do is jailbreak the AppleTV. Once you jailbreak AppleTV you can easily install XBMC, which has tons of video content. There are XBMC video plugins for simple access to different channels, including ABC, ShowTime, YouTube and even foreign TV channels. I currently use Rurem.TV, which requires a paid subscription, to watch a lot of Russian channels.

[embedplusvideo height=”281″ width=”450″ standard=”http://www.youtube.com/v/VKUbmlC7Yeo?fs=1″ vars=”ytid=VKUbmlC7Yeo&width=450&height=281&start=&stop=&rs=w&hd=0&autoplay=0&react=1&chapters=&notes=” id=”ep3015″ /]

If you want to watch Russian TV and want to replace the traditional cable service then just find the right reputed website that will make it happen for you and serves you with the best services and deliver the feed over the Internet directly from the source. Among the rest of the sites the best one is the “RUREM.TV“. This site aims to serves you the best quality of videos, movies, TV shows or documentaries with the speed of 600 kbps and up.

Watching Russian TV online includes wide variety of benefits such as one can get the facility to watch their favorite Russian TV channels at the time of work from anywhere in the world. By using Russian TV Online one can travel into the boundless world of global television entertainment in effective budgetary levels.

While that Rurem.TV charges a monthly subscription, which is less than $20, you would get over 100 live channels with a 2 weeks archive of all channels. Another great additional is Netflix like huge movie library for many Russian movies as well as Hollywood titles, which are dubbed in Russian.

Nowadays people want more choices and freedom on what to watch without spending a fortune, which at the moment TV Network companies can’t offer.

The process of pre- visualization can be observed during the pre production stage of movies, videos, games etc. often it is confused with the pre production stage itself. But that would be a wrong thing to do. Pre-production is covers all related aspects including the technical areas. On the other hand the process of pre visualization deals with all things creative. It is a vital part of the pre production process but not the entire process. It is also popularly known as pre-viz.

As evident from the term visualization, the process is all about planning and preparation of in order to achieve the perfect visuals that will suit the project. Suppose a computer game is about being developed. Then the pre-viz phase will include designing and finalizing the game’s characters, environment, the storyboard, sound designing etc. The same thing will happen with a full scale movie. Scenes will be conceived, shots will be drawn out, and the appearance of the acting characters will be decided upon. Once all these things are finalized the actual visualization process will begin where all the decided things will be created.

The pre visualization period can be quite lengthy because in every creative process it takes time to make up the mind. A character drawing can be cancelled and redrawn multiple times before it is finally approved. The same thing can be said about storyboards, scripts, textures, sound effects etc. Pre-viz does not focus on issues such as camera, equipment, lighting, shooting location, casting of actors etc. these are part of the overall pre-production process.

The pre-viz process requires contribution from many professionals to complete. To create storyboards you need storyboard artists, to design characters you need artists and animators. In addition you may have to take help from graphic designers, illustrators. You may also need to take help from sound designers so that you can match the images/scenes with appropriate sounds in order to create the ultimate audio visual experience.

In addition to the film and television industry, pre-viz has found its way to other fields as well. If you are planning to design a new logo for your product then you will have to go through a process before the final output comes. If you are planning a new ad film for your company, a pre-viz process is essential in order to decide its format, content and execution. A very interesting application can be noticed in the field of architecture/ real estate. Before the actual construction of a project has started, you can attract people by showing them visuals that represent the probable results of the construction. This works as a kind of promotion to attract both potential customers as well as potential business associates.

By following a full pre visualization process you will enjoy certain advantages. As everything has been determined, the work can be carried out speedily. Pre planning prevents wastage of time and resources after the start of the work. Since all things are more or less determined the work will be accurate and efficient.
