Lakonia – Pyramid Of Taygetos Mountain

This is a phenomenon pyramid that is located right on the highest peak of Mount Taygetos. It is quite unique and there are claims that this is actually the oldest of all the pyramids in the entire world. Most people want to visit in order to figure out if the pyramid was created by humans or it is a natural phenomenon. This is a place filled with energy and power that is said to be highly beneficial for the visitors.

Attica – Davelis Cave

This is a metaphysical location in Greece, most likely, the best known one. Davelis Cave has so many mysteries and legends attached to its name. It is seen as god Pan’s once holy place, together with the Nymphs, a true milestone for Greek mythology. Arkadia – Church Of Aghia Theodora

This is definitely a weird Greek church that is located in the Arkadia Prefecture, close to Megalopolis, one of the fantastic energy places in Greece. There are 17 trees that embrace a church built in the 12^th century. Brunches actually pop through the roof and you never see the roots. Experts do not understand this phenomenon. Public tradition says that Saint Theodora was responsible as her body became the church, while the hair grew into the trees that surround the church. Argolida – Asclepion At Epidaurus

This is a huge healing temple, the largest one that still stands today. It is dedicated to Asclepios and the temple stood out as a meeting point for those that were suffering in ancient Greece. The location is highly positively charged and you will feel great from the moment you see it.

Aherusia

What to see

The Temple of Apollo located in a prominent and central position, is the most important monument of the site. The temple included great statues and offerings to the god, and served as a place for rituals. The temple was also used to safe keep the trophies from major Athenian victories and other items dedicated to the Temple.

The Theater of Delphi situated right above the Temple of Apollo is well-preserved and offers stunning views to the lush green mountainous scenery.

The Archaeological Museum of Delphi is one of the most important museums in Greece, displaying findings telling the story of the Oracle. What you shouldn’t miss though is the bronze statue of Iniochos.

Deplhi Today

Modern Delphi is a charming village with quaint houses, traditional tavernas and cozy tourist accommodation. Thanks to its elevated position the village overlooks the sea of the Corinthian Gulf miles away.

After a busy day sightseeing you should take some time and relax, wandering around this hospitable mountain resort. What you can find here apart from souvenirs, is shops with authentic pieces of art by local artists, clothes shops and shops selling local products, such as olive oil and products made of it, and the delicious soft cheese formaela, best eaten fried.

Extra Tips

• Delphi can be visited all year round, but it’s better to plan your trip in spring when the weather is mild and the scorching sun won’t leave you exhausted…or sunburned!

• Keep in mind that your visit to the archaeological sites will be long, so you’d better start early. The museum and the archaeological site are open daily from 8:30 to 15:00.

• Wear comfortable shoes and light clothes. Beware of the slippery areas!

Sights and attractions

Santorini’s villages – Definitely pay a visit to the different settlements and villages of Santorini, such as Oia which is perched on the cliffs of Caldera overlooking the sea. If you wish to watch the renowned sunset of Santorini, take your seat on the cliffs and hold your significant other’s hand for utterly emotional moments. To get the whole picture though, you should also visit Santorini’s inland, where the true pulse of the locals beat. Go to the traditional wine village of Megalochori, 5km away from the main town, Fira, and travel back in time staying in one of the Santorini Villas and Mansions once housing old wineries.

Archaeological Site of Akrotiri – The settlement of Akrotiri is considered to be a Minoan colony which was destroyed by the violent 17^th century BC earthquake, as most of the settlements in Santorini. Thanks to the recent renovations the site is now completed shaded and even friendlier to visitors.

The settlement of Ancient Thira in Mesa Vouno – Located in the southeast of Santorini, Ancient Thira is the island’s jewel. The settlement includes Hellenistic and Roman period structures, as well as an amphitheater dated back around the 3^rd or 4^th BC century.

Prehistoric Museum of Thira – It is one the most important museums in Greece hosting exhibits of Cycladic art, as well as 17^th BC century fossils and findings from excavations at Akrotiri.

Archaeological Museum of Fira – To further satisfy the history buff inside you, visit the Archaeological museum and admire exhibits form the Archaic, Roman, Geometric and Hellenistic period.

The volcanic islet of Nea Kameni – Located in the centre of Caldera, the islet is one of the most popular attractions in Santorini accessible only by boat. You can reach the crater of the volcano and also swim in the existing thermal baths.

Amazing beaches to swim

Vlychada Beach – Imposing rocks curved by the air and sea stand right above the beach, creating a truly lunar landscape for a relaxing day on the beach. There is also a beach bar perched on the rocks for delicious food and drink. This is one of the beaches in Santorini you should definetly visit.

Perivolos Beach – The amazing beach bars and restaurants lining this black sandy beach, along with the plethora of sun beds and umbrellas, surely cater for a dream-like day on the beach.

Red Beach – Surrounded by red rocks, this unusual beach offers an isolated and peaceful setting for sunbathing and swimming in crystal clear waters. You’d better bring your own beach equipment though and there are only few sun beds and umbrellas here; however you’ll find a small canteen for basic food and drink.

White Beach – Right next to the Red Beach, this little cove with the whitewashed pebbles and transparent waters can only be reached by boat from its neighboring beach, thus creating an ideal setting for a lovely day at the seashore.

Kamari Beach – Perfectly organized with a plethora of sun beds and beach umbrellas, Kamari is filled with a great selection of cafeterias and restaurants. As it is also close to the site of Ancient Thira, Kamari combines both culture and fun!

This impressive building designed by famous German architect Ernest Schiller houses a rich collection of ancient and modern coins. Although in the Southern Suburbs of Athens, Mikro Bar is certainly worth the trip. A futuristic spot with industrial design, drinks come in mini bottles, while the cocktails are edgy, but delicious.  Mikro Bar is a glamorous place, so make sure you dress to impress.

Monk bar, 15-17 Kolokotroni Street, Athens

This is a brand new spot in the center of Athens that welcomes you from early morning with a cosy coffee, leisurely drink with good jazz, soul and funky music in the evening, or, of course, some of the best cocktails in town. It’s an ideal choice for the winter months with speciality cocktails like the ‘Smoking Monk’ (a steamy version of Manhattan) or the ‘Cucumber Thrill’, a spicy and aromatic mix, based on gin, with cucumber and lime!
